lash sensational...Maybelline's Lash Multiplying Mascara

It's not often that I'll review mascaras, for some reason I find them incredibly hard to write about and am rarely left overly-impressed given the bold claims of "visibly longer lashes" etc which don't particularly stand up to the test. But this, the latest lash release from Maybelline - Lash Sensation - is something worth raving about.

I only picked it up in ASDA with my groceries, mainly cos the packaging is pretty and I was underwhelmed with the mascara I was using at the time. (I can't even remember what it was, which says it all). I don't even know how much it was, I just chucked it in the trolley when Rich wasn't looking ;-)

But, it's gotta be the second best impulse buy I've ever made (first place going to my mattress - best five minute decision of my life). Lash Sensation gives my lashes length, curl, separation, definition - everything you could want from a mascara.

The brush is curved to fit perfectly around the eye, with short bristles (are they even called bristles on a mascara brush?! I don't know!) on the inside that perfectly coat the lower lashes in one swoop. The outer edge has longer "bristles" (?) which fan out the upper lashes and really opens up the eyes for a natural, doe-eyed look. And the best part? It doesn't clump or flake. Like, at all.

From what I can tell, the brush is a carbon copy of Benefit's brand new Roller Lash mascara. I received a free sample with this months Elle, and the brushes look identical. I haven't yet tried out my Benefit mini to compare results (I've been loving Lash Sensational too much!) but a possible dupe alert here...?

The results are so dramatic and pretty that I've even stopped wearing eyeliner. There's really no need when the mascara does all the talking.

  1. This is actually quite good for the money, and very similar (yet cheaper) looking to Benefits Roller Lash!

  2. I saw this today and thought the same as I have been using Rollerlash, will deffo pick this up when it runs out!

  3. It's so good isn't it! I think it is very similiar in formula to Roller Lash, a pretty good drugstore dupe to be honest! :) Hope you're well Rosie xx
