Short skirt, big hat

And breathe...the last fortnight has been MENTAL. I've been swamped at work putting on The Argus Community Stars Awards, which happened yesterday. I'd been so stressed out worrying about the event, so last weekend to try and take my mind off work, we went for a wander around Brighton Museum and tea and cake in the Dome.

Sometimes you just need to turn off your emails, put on a nice outfit and find an excuse to get out of the house and escape reality for a bit! So I wore my new outfit from Topshop that I got when I visited the new Brighton store to try out the Personal Shopping experience there (but more on that later!).

I LOVE my new leopard skirt... I feel like Cavegirl in it. It's VERY short, but with some thick black tights I think I can just about get away with it. I was planning on teaming it with a tight, black top tucked in, but ended up trying it on with this frilly hem jumper by accident and loved the look. I think it gives it a bit more of a relaxed vibe.

I'm also trying really hard to feel confident in my fabulous new hat. I love it but I feel so self concious walking around in the world's largest hat when I've never been much of a hat person!
