I've been meaning to get this post up for far too long, but with Christmas only six weeks away, I thought I'd better get on with it before autumn draws in and we get fully into the festive mood.
You can tell when autumn has officially arrived when your instagram feed starts clogging up with endless seasonal Starbuckfies. (Yes I just made up that word but I think it's valid, the Oxford English Dictionary can thank me later) But I just can't enjoy a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte properly when I think about the whopping 380 calories I'm wasting on a cup of coffee! Er - no thank you, my cheat calories are reserved solely for cheese and chocolate! But thanks to Bluebird Tea Co's Spiced Pumpkin Pie* chai tea blend, you can enjoy all the autumnal joy of a comforting, spiced, pumpkin hot drink for a mere fraction of the calories.
It tastes delicious made as an ordinary cuppa, with or without a splash of milk, but it's best when made as a tea Chai Latte, as per the handy instructions on the Bluebird website. With a warm spiced pumpkin flavour and creamy consistency, it's pure autumnal bliss - for under 50 calories!
Have you tried any of Bluebird's blends? Their magical concoctions manage to taste exactly like your favourite naughty foods (Vicky's Sponge Cake and Peppermint Cream are just a few of my faves) without undoing those hours spent on the treadmill. I'm looking forward to trying out their Christmas collection - hello mulled wine tea?!
