Boux Avenue

A few weeks ago, I popped down to Churchill Square to casually look at pretty undies and sip bucks fizz with Theo Paphetis (as you do). He was there to officially open the new Boux Avenue in Churchill Square, and I went to have a first look at boudoir-esque store. It's full of beautiful lingerie, cosy nightwear and gorgeously scented body lotions, candles etc. There's even a free fitting service on offer. Having drastically changed shape and size recently, I immediately booked in for a fitting with intentions of re-stocking my entire underwear drawer.

Steph, who did my fitting, was so lovely and put me at ease right away as she showed me into my fitting room, which was super luxurious- fluffy carpets, crystal hooks and even different lighting options to choose from! After we had found my perfect fit, I had a wonder around the store to pick out some pretty designs to try on. I tried on three beautiful pink bras but ended up choosing an absolutely stunning monochrome embroidered balconette bra  and thong set*. I fell in love with the pretty floral design as soon as I saw it! The bra is lightly padded and so comfortable plus it has a cute little frill running under the bust, and the thong has matching embroidered detail on the front and back. I couldn't resist feeding my pyjama obsession either, and ended up buying these super cute bunny PJs. The leggings are fleece lined and so snuggly! I'm wearing them as I type :-)

I have a love/hate relationship with underwear shopping - as lovely as it is to slip into something pretty in the mornings, I can't bear to part with my hard earned pennies on something that nobody (well, hardly anybody!) will see. I usually end up in some cheap, ill-fitting Primark undies that fall apart after a couple of washes, but I think that will become a thing of the past now that Boux Avenue has opened in Brighton. Their basic (but very pretty!) bra and knicker sets are just £25, with the more luxury lingerie costing around £28 for a bra and £12-15 for knickers, which isn't too bad for something so special. Plus, the customer service and shopping experience is worth paying out a little more for! I also signed up for a VIP loyalty card, so I'll be saving up my points for one of their lovely candles!

Have you been to Boux Avenue? What's your favourite underwear shop?
