My Year & Blogging Best Bits.

What a year 2013 has been! There’s certainly been ups and downs, but looking back I feel truly grateful for all the amazing things I’ve done, and all the lovely new people I’ve met, over the past twelve months.

In January, Matt and I took a romantic mini-break to Paris (read about our adventures here).

Then in June, we went off to Glastonbury. It was my first Glasto and I loved it! We saw one of our favourite artists, Matt Corby, perform and discovered the Foals, who are bloody amazing!

Luckily I recovered from Glasto quickly, as I started a new job as Marketing Assistant at my local newspaper as soon as we got back! I love my job, I’m learning so much and get to run my own marketing campaigns, and I have the loveliest boss ever!

I discovered a new hobby - making cupcakes! And I’ve actually become quite good at it!

In September, we went on holiday to Turkey, and it’s got to be one of the best holidays I’ve ever been on. We stayed in Olu Deniz which is home to a stunning blue lagoon. The weather was gorgeous, the food was delicious and everything was really cheap. We took a trip to mud baths and hot springs, saw some giant turtles, went to Butterfly Valley and caught and ate our own crab!

In October, I went to the Cosmo Blog Awards, in which I was lucky enough to be up for the Best New Beauty Blog Award. I didn’t win but had a great night meeting other bloggers and came home with a mega goodie bag!

We moved home in December - only one road away, but into our dream flat. It’s so spacious, high ceilings, and has massive wardrobes! I’ve also set up a dressing table which excites me way too much.

Blogging best bits…
Some of my favourite products/posts from 2013!

My trip to Trevor Sorbie. I started the year with awful hair so this trip to Trevor Sorbie really was one of the biggest highlights (no pun intended) of my year

The Brighton Blogger Meet was an amazing day. It was the first time I met most of my fellow blogging beauties and I’ve made some really good friends in these girls.

I discovered Youngblood cosmetics in the summer and fell head over heels with their lipstick in Dragonfruit.
I also fell in love with the Too Faced Summer Eyes Palette. I won an entire set of the Ciate Suncatcher collection on a twitter competition and had fun all summer playing around with the beautiful bright shades and the glow-in-the-dark topcoat .

I posted about my favourite skincare routine to get gorgeous glowing skin.

What were your highlights of 2013? Please share your link to any posts you’ve written about your year in the comments!
