Bags 'n' boots

Nothing beats a gorgeous bag and pair of ankle boots combo in the winter. Just chuck ‘em on with a stylish coat and you’re good to go. Ankle boots are my go-to winter footwear – can’t be dealing with cold feet in ballet shoes! I’ve recently become a little obsessed with wearing them with a pair of frilly socks peeking out of the top. But, of course, that means you need a pair for every occasion, complete with a bag to match.

CASUAL: I adore (and actually already own) these cute pixie boots from Topshop. The deep berry colour makes a nice change from black or brown and the gold buckle detail is just gorgeous. They’re so comfortable too! I’d pair these with this little black messenger bag, which is so simple yet stylish and somehow compliments the boots without being matchy.
SMART: I’m a bit in love these patent toe cap riding boots – you just can’t beat a bit of black patent! Wouldn’t they just look so lovely with frilly socks, tights and a nice tailored coat? I’d love to own these boots alongside the new glammed up version of the Zara City bag. Like every girl under the sun I’ve been coveting the City bag for the longest time, and it’s structured sophistication is the perfect match for these shiny boots!

PARTY: I absolutely need this navy, patent Whistles clutch in my life...isn't it the most gorgeous bag you have ever seen? As I'm loving pairing navy with black at the moment, I'd choose these black suede and patent heeled shoe boots for a simple and elegant going out look. Shoe boots are the only choice for winter party shoes in my opinion - they look sexy and keep your tootsies warm! I don't understand how or why girls choose to go out in the freezing cold wearing peep toes?
