After a couple of weeks of wearing the new Sure Compressed, not only is the teeny bottle still going strong, but the deodorant kept me dry whilst running for the bus, flitting around London for Matt's birthday celebrations and stressing out organising and preparing for the Argus Achievement Awards. But last night I put Sure Compressed to the ultimate test, as I went to improve my new baking hobby.
Although the class was spent sitting down, making tiny sugar flowers and perfectly piping buttercream is a high-pressure, lip biting situation to be in! Just look at the concentration levels on my face! Carrying my finished creations home through the slippery cobbled laines also proved a difficult task- I was so paranoid of falling over and wrecking them! However, as I arrived home (with all cupcakes in tact!), sat down and tucked in, I remained dry and sweat free, even after climbing the hill and then three flights of stairs to my flat!
The class took place in Purple Heart (a cute baking supplies and gift shop in Brighton) and was taught by the lovely Ginny from Mamma G'z bakery. We learnt how to create different styles of buttercream icing, and how to make different types of sugar flowers by hand. I failed miserably on the rose but the rest turned out pretty good if I say so myself! I can't wait to start making more at home, next I'm thinking of trying to make little sugar carrots to decorate carrot cakes!
