Beach Bag Beauty Essentials

OK so I know it's now September (seriously where has the time gone?!) and A/W is creeping in, but I'm off to Turkey in a couple of weeks and thought I'd share my beach bag essentials for any of you who are planning a last minute get away. (or, if the sun decides to keep his hat on in the UK)

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave in conditioner-  Sea water, chlorine and the sun isn't good for anybody's hair, especially my bleached and damaged locks which come home looking like straw. So, I need to take extra special care of it on holiday. Dove's leave in conditioner is something I buy over and over again, and take everywhere with me. It helps to remove knots and leaves hair feeling really soft and nourished.

Tangle Teezer- Nothing else can get the knots out of my hair like a Tangle Teezer (I have been known to snap a few handles off hairbrushes whilst tackling my mane!) so it's essential to take one to the beach to keep the knots at bay throughout the day. The compact styler Tangle Teezer is perfect for travelling as it has a case to protect the bristles from getting squashed, and protect other things in your bag from getting scratched.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist - a spritz of this rose-water scented face mist is the perfect pick me up for dried out, hot skin. It's so refreshing and smells divine, and adds moisture and Vitamin E into sun soaked skin. It's also a wonder at setting make-up, so a perfect holiday product all round.

Hawaiian Tropic SPF 30- Obviously an SPF is a must in a beach bag. I have very sensitive, pale skin and burn very easily, so I tend to stick to an SPF 30. Hawaiian Tropic is my brand of choice, it smells heavenly!

Specky Four Eyes glasses*- A pair of sunnies are also a no-brainer. My new Specky Four Eyes glasses are coming along to Turkey because they're SO dark compared to my high-street pairs. I'm hoping this will make for extremely comfortable, squint-free reading. They also look fab and come in loads of fun patterns and colours - I love my deep red floral ones as they're a bit of a twist on the traditional tortoise shell frames.

Beach to bar make-up - I try to keep make-up to a minimum during a day on the beach, but when you head off to the bar or cafe, a touch up is usually necessary. 2 Tru Pro BB Beautiful* is a must in my beach bag to cover up redness and shine, followed by a dusting of Benefit Hello Flawless* powder. Both of these have an SPF 15 to keep your face protected, obviously ideal on holiday. Benefit Posie Tint is good for adding a bit of colour to the cheeks and lips, and it's also waterproof so you can jump back into the pool and come out looking flawless.
