After a stressful day (or even after quite a pleasant day, I'm not fussy) I like to unwind by lighting some scented candles and cracking out these two products for probably the most blissful five minutes of my life.
I treat myself to a luxury spa facial at home, using a hot cloth cleanser which steams my pores, melting away make up and the day's grime, brightens and smooths my complexion and buffs away dead skin cells. It transforms my bathroom into a little corner of heaven for five minutes (until Matt walks in and laughs at me standing around with a wet cloth on my face).
The No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser is a much cheaper alternative to Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, that everyone's been banging on about since forever. For £9.95, No7 give you 200mls of product, which compared to £14.75 for only 100mls for Liz Earle's version, already makes me feel much calmer!
The cleanser itself is luxuriously thick and creamy, and you apply it to dry skin in small circular motions. It looks and feels more like a moisturiser than your typical facial wash.
Then comes my favourite part ...
Although the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser comes complete with a muslin cloth, I much prefer to use a Washi! Hot Cloth*. These Japanese inspired, 100% cotton cloths are thicker and fluffier than a muslin cloth and especially designed to retain heat and gently exfoliate the skin. They really do work wonderfully at retaining their heat in comparison to a muslin cloth, which turn lukewarm before even reaching your face.
After this blissful routine, I feel totally relaxed, my complexion glows and my skin feels really clean and healthy.
Do you use a hot cloth cleanser? What's your favourite way to unwind?
