Welcome to the very first instalment of The Nail Files! I've decided to return to blogging after taking some time to concentrate on my dissertation. I got a 2.1, meaning I will graduate with a 2.1 overall! :)
Butter London has been one of my favourite nail polish brands for some time, ever since we sold it in Oasis a few Christmases ago. Some of you may remember that I gave a purple bottle away in my last giveaway. Not only do Butter London offer a range of fashionable colours, quintessentially named after all things British, but they also create a high quality formula that is free from harmful carcinogens, making it much better for your nails.
When the new summer collection came out I couldn't resist buying this shade, 'Disco Biscuit'. It's a gorgeous hot pink jelly-like polish with an iridescent bluish-purplish-greenish micro-glitter that comes alive when under the sunlight. I think it looks like pink Jelly Tots on your nails. Yum.
I applied three coats to get a vibrant but still translucent colour, but the polish dries kind of matte and with a bit of a rough texture, so a high-shine top coat is an absolute must! I used two coats of Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar to get my nails looking really shiny and smooth.
Have you tried any Butter London products?
I am hoping to get my blog back up and running with some exciting new content, so watch this space!
Love, Rosie x
